MCTS

The MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Support Specialist) is the first certification in the new series of Microsoft Administration exams designed to replace and append the Microsoft MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) certification.

Individuals who hold this certification will differ from previous desktop support technicians in that they will be certified as experts in the technology, not necessarily any specific job position. Therefore, this certification is ideal for individuals new to Information Technology and certification as a whole.

Although the certification is new, it is also highly respected. It is one of the first Vista certifications and shows that a candidate is up to date with the latest trends and ready for new challenges. This certification became available in 2007.
